These past 25 days I…

…gave my iPod Touch a makeover.
Finally, that much-awaited package from DealExtreme arrived last October 13 and inside was the folio case and in-ear headset for my iPod Touch. I really thought that I threw away $7.71 worth of blogged money because it took so long for the merchandise to be delivered. The only downside is that my folio case and headset don’t match (I definitely didn’t order a black folio case). Oh well, all’s well that ends well and so, for the record, I’m still in love with you, DealExtreme.

…celebrated my mom’s death anniversary with my family.
October 22 was a happy day for us. Our family gathered to say our prayers and then celebrated my mom’s union with Her Maker through a very simple dinner. Of course, I was happy for my mom so I ate to my heart’s content. Tee-hee!
…went to Cagayan de Oro City to join the MBS3.
Last October 23, I endured a rather long bus ride (instead of the usual 4 stops, the driver took the liberty to stop, err, a million times?) to CDO to join the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit which was held on the 24th. With me during the trip was Lyle, Faust, and Jim.
MBS3, organized by the CDOBloggers, was a success. Aside from listening to very engaging speakers, it was an opportunity to meet old and new friends. Also held on the same day was the Philippine Blog Awards- Mindanao where Lyle and some of my friends received recognition.

If the trip to CDO was long and arduous, the trip back home was nothing like that. I had allergies so I had to take an antihistamine. I was asleep for six hours and by the time I woke up, it was Davao City already. For the first time in my life, I was happy to be drugged (LOL!).
…received a package from my friends.
My good friends John and Ulyn sent a package from the States. Inside were goodies (makeup, toiletries, and a tote). I have been meaning to start another blog, this time a “girl blog” called Get Prettified. I bought the domain name last May 20 (can’t believe it was that long ago). I have been putting off writing that first blog post and I know I don’t have an excuse anymore (does habitual spacing out count? :p). Sheesh, my About Me page should include procrastinator extraordinaire.
…found my new pet, Peeball! <3
Ever since my pet dog Bubu died, I decided that if ever I’m going to have a pet again, it will be a pet rock. Compared to other pets (think pet cactus or pet bonsai), a pet rock is very low maintenance since it doesn’t need sunlight, water, or air. I just need to wash it from time to time. Also, it doesn’t move so it can’t leave me and it won’t ever get sick ergo, it will never die on me.

my pet rock, Peeball...
And so, I thank my friends Jim and Anne for giving me my pet rock (along with a dozen or so rocks that made it to the shortlist). Peeball, my pet rock, is a cut above the rest.
…ate, ate, and ate.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Lyle, Jim, Anne, Andrew, Migs, Ria, and Chattee for having the passion for good food as much as I do. Because we had so much fun nomnoming pizza and Ria’s pastries and homecooked meals, I am now afraid to step on the weighing scale and in danger of abandoning my weight loss blog.

P.S. We will be having buffalo wings tonight. :-)
…blogged some.
With much effort, I tried to get over this blogging hiatus. So I managed to generate blog posts in some of my blogs. If you want to, you can read my blog posts here and here.
…joined my first Halloween Party.
We were in reds, grays, and blacks and even put on cheap children’s halloween makeup just to make the most out of that photo-shoot-under-the-moonlit-sky. I even tried those yucky blood capsules for special effects. You may think I’m too old to join a halloween party but we had fun so shattap!

…am loving Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I don’t want to write about it in detail here but let’s just say that I gush and space out during Wednesdays and Thursdays. And because something worthwhile happens during Wednesdays and Thursdays, I am trying out new things I won’t normally even consider doing on my own.

Wow, pet rock, huh. That’s something new.
Pet rock, that’s quite unique
I guess your pet rock is a billion years old already and it will last forever… btw, how long does it take to arrive your orders from Dealextreme? Nice meeting you last MBS3 hope to see your group next time i’ll visit Davao
Hey, Mike. My first DE purchase was delivered after 14 days. The latest purchase took more than 3 weeks if I’m not mistaken. Still, it’s well worth the wait as shipping is free of charge.
It was nice to meet you, too. Too bad our visit was kinda short. Hopefully we will get to meet again if you are in town.
hehehehe… thanks for the special mention… food.. where’s the food??
Amused at Peeball… Im thinking of having one too.. (na jelly ko!) lols
You can always get your own Pet Rock. Am sure there are a lot of colorful ones in CDO.
@marion – the pet rock is a very manageable pet.
@faust – no problem. manglibre ka? LOL.
Woohoo!
Busy, busy, busy! Plus all the cownfidenshul shiz we’ve been doing.
Yeah, I don’t mind if we get busy as long as food is in abundance.
that pet rock is a wise choice. it can also protect you in times of danger. just swallow it and shout —
nah, my pet is too big for that.
