Red Ribbon Bloggers’ Event

31 Oct

Last October 3, I attended a Red Ribbon event for the bloggers of Davao, GenSan, and Cagayan de Oro who were in Manila to attend WordCamp Philippines 2010.  The event, which took place at the Fort Bonifacio branch of Red Ribbon, was organized by Red Ribbon’s Marketing  Team through blogger Jonel Uy.

I have always liked Red Ribbon products so  I was super delighted that they treated us to an early lunch consisting of a combination of their bestsellers and newest offerings like salisbury steak, pancit palabok, and crispy chicken.  I  also had their bestselling chicken empanada, a slice or  two of  Mango Passion cake, and one of their signature blended drinks.

Gensan Tuna Festival 2010 – Day 1

12 Oct

I was in General Santos City late last month for the Tuna Festival.  My group, Avatar Media, was already very busy with WordCamp Philippines 2010 preparations but three of us managed to get a couple of days off to be one with the  Generals in celebrating the 42nd Charter Day Anniversary of their beloved city.

We arrived around lunchtime of September 24, Friday.  My good friend Avel took us to the  beach (sorry, I can’t remember the name) for a quick stop at the LGU-GenSan Family Day.  There, we met Sox Blogger Ric Dumalay and Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio.  We also grabbed a few bites, just enough to whet our appetites for our next stop — lunch at Harvey’s.

Reasons Why I Attended and Had Fun at the GESM Blogoversary Party

12 Aug

Last weekend, I went to General Santos City for the nth time to attend a  party.

I’ve been up to my neck in tasks and errands lately but I found the time to travel 3 hours to attend a party.  Why?  Read on.

This will surprise a lot of people who have known me for years because  I’m the type who is almost always absent during Christmas parties and Senior’s ball in high school with the exception of the JS Prom.  I would’ve loved to ditch the prom but I know I wouldn’t get away with a no-show because attendance was required.
