GenSan Revisited: Dolores Farm Resort

1 May

As part of our GenSan trip, Avel MananSala of GenSantos.com made sure that we make a side trip to Polomolok so that we can visit the Trappistine Monastery in Barangay Landan. Afterwards, we proceeded to Pagalungan, Polomolok so we can have lunch at Dolores Farm Resort.

When we arrived at the Dolores Farm Resort’s restaurant and bar, we were immediately ushered to our table by Mr. Bernard Lauron, Dolores Farm Resort’s very able manager. Our table had a very good view of the resort grounds so as Lyle, Avel, Marzz, Orman, and I listened to Mr. Bernard Lauron talk about the resort and their offerings for their guests, I openly admired how well-maintained Dolores Farm Resort is.

Finally, it was lunchtime for us. And I must say lunch at Dolores Farm Resort was FABULOUS, to say the least. Sinful, in fact. From the ornate vegetable and fruit carving which Mr. Bernard Lauron made himself to the tinolang manok, garlic chicken, oriental vegetables, and deep fried tilapia– everything was perfect.

After our very enjoyable lunch, we were given a quick tour of the resort. And having seen Dolores Farm Resort’s amenities, I say it is the perfect location for family outings. They have swimming pools for adults and children, a spacious picnic area complete with open cottages and long tables, and even a mini zoo. And for those who prefer to stay overnight, their guest rooms are clean, spacious, and reasonably-priced.

Dolores Farm Resort is also an ideal venue coporate events. They have a function hall large enough for 150 people and currently have special rates for live-in or live-out seminars. The package rates for seminars include free use of function hall and sound system, to name a few.

Dolores Farm Resort is managed by Dolores Hotels and Resorts. For reservations and inquiries, contact Dolores Farm Resort Reservation Office at (083) 500-9362/ 500-9260.
